she says. “When I stroll through my garden or those of my
neighbors, the beauty of creation welcomes me.” She isn’t
drawn to fl owers solely for their beauty, however; she also
appreciates their allegorical nature. “Flowers refl ect the
entire span of life,” she says. “Th e opening of the buds, fol-
lowed by their full-blown splendor and subsequent wilting
and dying, is symbolic of birth, life and transience.”
