S

eva (or selfless service) is an important part of
Azulfit’s mission. Last autumn, it donated sales
from its Peaceful Warrior clothing line to David
Sye’s YogaBeats conflict resolution work in the
Middle East. Famed teacher David Sye teaches
yoga and trains future teachers in areas of violence
and conflict, including inner cities back home; he uses
yoga as a tool to develop and encourage the concepts
of compassion and empathy to bring about positive
change. Azulfit’s clothing sales were used to help fund
the next YogaBeats visit to the troubled West Bank area
in the Middle East.
This year, Azulfit is looking to continue the good
vibes, supporting charitable causes in India. Each week
it hosts a charity dinner, with proceeds supporting the
Vrinda Foundation, a non-profit organisation involved in
sustainable projects in education, food distribution, and
clean water. At its retreat headquarters in Fuerteventura,
it also sells beautiful handcrafted malas and jewellery
from a Goa-based women’s empowerment programme.
And next month you can join the Azulfit team on
a luxury 10 night retreat in Goa, India, hosted by the
wonderful Rachel Blunt. Expect Seva from the start: the
trip will begin with guests being encouraged to save
some space in their cases for school supplies for local
children. Blunt’s style is playful, flow yoga, delivered with
warm and attentive teaching that will take you deeper
into your practice.
Enjoy the luxury of staying in one of Goa’s finest villas
too, knowing that you are putting good things back
into the local community. Blunt will also be delivering
much-needed supplies to support communities in the
area. To add to the sense of luxury, delicious cuisine will
be prepared by the incredible villa chefs, including an
evening in with a Michelin star chef.

work in Goa, India next month

There will also be guided excursions: to see sites
including a beautiful ancient Banyan Tree temple,
historical Portuguese colonial mansions, a local spice
market and of course Goa’s beautiful beaches.
An additional three days can be added in Mumbai
(again guided by Blunt), where a special tour of the
amazing community project at the Dharavi slums can be
arranged and you can even visit Gandhi’s former house.
An incredible retreat experience with Seva at its heart.
