I love these public holidays!
Usually there is less morning
noise, less traffic, and fewer
people rushing from here to
there. This is the perfect time
for sadhana or spiritual prac-
tice. I usually create a special
Yantra in these quiet mornings
and spend the later parts of
the day going to a park or the
beach for a picnic with family.
I celebrate everything close
to me and shower it all with
gratitude. #avoidthebusy
I use the quiet Thanksgiving
holiday to reconnect with
friends and catch up on read-
ing. After writing How To
Survive Your Childhood Now
That You’re An Adult, I’ve
found that it is time for me to
replenish, nurture, and nourish
my curiosity. I’m planning to
expand my horizons related
to the latest philosophy and
psychology thought leaders.
My overall attitude in life is,
“I’m here to learn; I’m here to
serve.”
We asked a selection of this month’s contributors the following question:
What are some things you will be incorporating in your Thanksgiving
celebrations this year?

Wim Hof told me this about
food, “Food equals energy. So
if you have a different source
of energy then you don’t need
to eat food as your only source
of energy.” This Thanksgiving
I intend to take in energy from
a variety of sources, especially
the energy of Gratitude and
of music. I even created a
Thanksgiving Spotify Playlist.
Email me at shiva@sacredpath-
music.com if you’d like me to
share it with you.

Thanksgiving is the biggest
holiday of the year in my
family. Our relatives visit
from all over the country and
we extend the dining room
table to fit everyone. We share
delicious, healthy food, wine,
great conversations, and a lot
of love. I look forward to it
every year!
