“I think our nude yoga

photos support my message:

‘You are beautiful exactly
the way you are’.”

started at all, I just brought together
all of my passions: yoga, photography
and writing (and later travelling too).
When I started, I tried this style of
photography and I realised I was able
to transmit nudity in a non-sexual way.
For me the photos are more artistic
and minimalistic. It’s also much more
challenging to create photos without
clothes and I like challenges. I think our
nude yoga photos support my message
“You are beautiful exactly the way you
are” as well.

Why is anonymity so important
to you?
When I started the account I was very
nervous about what people would
think of my photos and if they would
understand my art in the right way. I’m
so thankful that they did and afterwards
I also thought that anonymity is nice
from an artistic point of view, too. But
the most important thing is that it’s not
about who but it’s about what the
account stands for and its message.

What do you say to your critics
who think you are a representing
the unattainable body image–
the antithesis of traditional yoga
practice?
I have my own yoga journey.
I attempt to inspire people to try yoga
and encourage them to be who they
really are; to love themselves fully. I had
so many insecurities at a younger age
when I did modelling and I struggled
because it was all about how you look
on the outside. I started to see more and
more faults in my body all the time.
Yoga helped me to accept my body fully.
Yoga is all about how you feel on the
inside and not about how you look
on the outside. Everything starts from
our mind and how we see ourselves.
I want to say that you are enough,
unique and amazing.

Do you think yoga has lost its soul?
What’s your opinion on the topic?
I think yoga can be beneficial for
everyone. I’m so happy that it’s
getting more popular all the time.

What’s next for NYG?
I have started to think about possibly
doing a yoga teacher training course.
One of my dreams is also to do a book
one day.^21
