Move Time
The Impact of Move Time
What does all this have to do with morning routines? As you
consider what our Move time means, I want you to feel the
freedom to be creative with how you use that time. It might be
reviewing what you ate yesterday or planning what you’ll eat
today. It might be making a quick, energy- filled breakfast or
putting food in the Crock- Pot for a healthy dinner.
By changing our definition of fitness, we break the chains
of perfection. We move the focus of our efforts from the end
results to daily progress. And we build our confidence that
our optimum energy level is the goal regardless of whether the
shape on the outside will fit the high standards of our society.
By building our morning core habit, we remind ourselves
day in and day out of our priorities.
The point of Move time isn’t simply to increase our energy;
it’s to increase our energy so we can best respond to God’s call
in our lives each day. Are we moving through our day with
open and responsive hearts ready to serve others, pray, give,
and love as God calls us to?
Are we hearing the Word and doing it? How can we main-
tain an open posture before God throughout our day, and how
can we overcome our fears and step outside of our comfort
zones and our routines to follow wherever God may lead? As
we increase our energy, are we asking God what more we can
do for and with Him? This isn’t about settling into our com-
fort zones; it’s about excelling in the role God has given us.
You r Move time doesn’t need to involve a treadmill or the
gym. It just needs to focus on building your energy to follow
God whenever and wherever He may lead.
