Your Morning Routine Toolkit

It’s not a reflection on you personally, but rather their season
in life. Instead of feeling discouraged, be inspired by their self-
awareness and courage to live within healthy boundaries.
What to Do in an Accountability Group
As the leader, the way you structure your group needs to be life-
giving and manageable for you. It can be as simple as texting each
other in the morning to check in, or you could meet weekly for
deep discussion. You could connect online and ask a daily ques-
tion, or you could talk on the phone regularly to stay accountable.
What resonates with you? Here are some options:
- Deep questions
Determine several thought- provoking questions whose
answers move people forward in their journey of growth.
Here are a few to consider:
- What are your goals for this week?
- How did you do with your goals last week?
- How can I pray for you?
- What obstacles can we help you brainstorm
solutions for? - Were you honest in all your answers? (We used to ask
this in my college church accountability group, and,
sadly, it’s really helpful.)
- Daily check- ins
Sometimes all you need for a group is a daily check- in.
No need to go deep or ask big questions— just saying “hello”
and “how are you?” each morning reminds everyone of
their morning routine and makes them want to stay on
track. Just showing up is a highly underrated ministry.
