I have all these wishes, and yet I wake up in the morning
and start my day checking Facebook or reading e- mail. I hit
the snooze button one too many times and oversleep. I forget
that everything I need, the Holder of all those wishes, the One
who meets my every insecurity and fear, He’s right here.
Every morning. Right here. Waiting for me.
Six- year- olds don’t hit the snooze button on Christmas
morning. Who wants to snooze when so much goodness awaits?
Treats to eat, presents to open, and cousins to play with? It’s
easy to wake up on days filled with hope and expectation.
What if we felt like that every morning? As if anything
were possible? What if we could wake up like six- year- olds on
Christmas morning— every morning?
We can.
The Possibility
I have felt overwhelmed, beaten down, and like I’m all- around
failing at life. But when I was at my lowest, I began to realize
how much possibility my life holds. It doesn’t matter that I’m
already fortysomething years old.
