Appendix

I understand that God doesn’t want my perfection; He
wants my pursuit. So I’ve decided to let go of my guilt about
my mornings and pick up the grace offered on the cross.
I understand that time with Jesus is the core of every-
thing I need. So I refuse to be mastered by time but instead
choose to make room for the Master of time.
I understand that God is not a redundant Creator. He
made me for specific purposes. So I choose to prayerfully
plan my days to pave the way for His purposes.
I understand that I am created in the image of God.
So I choose to focus my fitness on increasing my energy
to bring glory to His image rather than mine.
I understand that building small habits creates solid
growth. So when guilt rears its ugly head, saying I’m not
doing enough, I’ll cling to the Grace that crushed guilt
beneath His heel.
I understand that meeting with Jesus daily will change
my life forever. So I choose to start each day with God, no
matter how much or how little time I have, simply because
He is worthy.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all
we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work
within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
