to- do list on my phone so it’s easy to keep up to date and
to access. I keep my weekly planning on paper because
it’s easy to see at a glance. Copying it all down in one
spot each week helps me remember what we have going
on, and it keeps me off my phone during the week.
When I start work, I dive into deeper project-
specific planning. On Saturday or Sunday, I usually
have a bigger planning time for the week.

  1. Tiny habit: just looking at my calendar.

  2. Keystone habit: (I don’t use one here.)

  3. Keep it fun: I like writing out my to- do list and
calendar items with pretty colored pens. It makes up
    for my terrible handwriting.

  4. Reward: not forgetting things as much.
    7. Habit script: sometimes consists of just looking at my
calendar and jotting down a few things in my planner.
But when possible, I like to flip through the front
pages of my planner that include my personal mission
statement, my long- and short- term goals, my current
projects, and my daily to- do list.

Morning Move Time

  1. Tr i g g e r: this simple habit follows my Plan time.

  2. Choice architecture: I sleep in my workout clothes and
prep a water bottle before bed. After I take my kids to
    school, I do my workout.

  3. Tiny habit: drinking my water.

  4. Keystone habit: (I don’t use one here.)

  5. Keep it fun: I’ll often check my e- mail or social media
    while I’m stretching.
