Hello Mornings How to Build a Grace-Filled, Life-Giving Morning Routine

(Grace) #1
Why Mornings?

80

You will:

  1. shift your perspective on each area of your morning
    routine,

  2. set your anchor habit for each area of your morning
    routine, and

  3. start growing in each area of your morning routine.

The next few chapters on God, Plan, Move share a
perspective- altering insight, a simple anchor to get you started,
and then a variety of ideas to keep you growing.
This isn’t about overnight transformation or rigid for-
mulas. I want to help you start small, be faithful, and grow
consistently. It’s against the grain of our culture to be okay
with small, but small seems to be a part of God’s upside- down
kingdom. He has a history of taking weaknesses and feeble
steps of faith and magnifying them for His glory and for the
good of others. He doesn’t have a history of taking massive,
accomplished deeds and hijacking them for His glory.
He didn’t wait for Moses to be a confident speaker (Ex. 4).
He didn’t wait for David to be the biggest and strongest
(1 Sam. 16). He didn’t wait for Rahab to have a perfect repu-
tation (Josh. 2). He didn’t wait for Mary to have a husband
(Matt. 1). He didn’t wait for Saul to come to his own logical
conclusion (Acts 9).
He doesn’t need our achievements; He wants our attention.
Let’s get started.
