The Word of God
Life-giving Lord, you sustain all life through planted seed and daily
food. Prepare my heart to receive the seed of your word and feed me
now with the truth of Christ so I may grow in love for him and all
creation. Amen.
Set readings
I confess that God the Father freely made all things, visible and
invisible, by his word; that he alone is transcendent and holds in
being all that exists; that each part of his creation, according to its
nature, and in the harmony of the universe displays his infinite truth
and beauty, love and goodness, wisdom and glory; that his eternal
Son became flesh in Jesus Christ, indwelling his creation; that he
redeemed it and all humanity through his human life, atoning death
and glorious resurrection and that he will come again to gather all
creation to himself to the glory of the Father. Amen.

Lord God, you love the world you made and all creation blesses
you; you move upon the vast universe with life and mystery. Open
our hearts to your holy presence in all we see and touch this day, so
that we also may live to bless you, through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lord God, you made everything good; help us to use the fruit of
the earth for your glory and for the benefit of all creation. May all our
work be sacred and our daily occupation your holy calling. Amen.
