I pray for the church and mission of Jesus Christ in all places......
Lord Jesus, you came to heal the sick and to redeem your creation.
Give your people faith to continue your healing work, the courage to
resist those who destroy and the humility to unite for the healing of
the earth. Amen.
I pray for all in authority and for the needs of the world......
Forgive us, Lord; we have forgotten that creation belongs to you and
ignored your command to be responsible for its care. Strengthen the
voice of those who speak for people and creatures who are unable to
speak for themselves. Remove power from those who rob the earth and
create injustice. Strengthen all who work for the integrity of creation and
so deliver us from a destruction and ruin of our own making. Amen.
Conclusion
Creator God, you blessed all you created with fruitfulness; may your
harmony fill the whole earth; may plants be abundant for your glory;
may animals flourish and people prosper. Lord God; Father, Son and
Holy Spirit, bless us and all living things again and for ever. Amen.
