Psalm 1
Blessed!
People are so blessed
when they don’t go by the advice of wrongdoers,
or stand in the street with sinners,
or sit in scornful company.
Instead, they delight in the instruction of the LORD
and meditate on his teaching day and night.
They are like a tree planted by streams of water,
which gives its fruit in season, whose leaves never wilt.
Everything they do succeeds.It is not like that with the wrongdoers!
Instead, they are like bits of straw;
the wind just blows them away.
That’s why wrongdoers will not come through the judgment
and sinners will not stand in the company of the righteous.
Because the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of wrongdoers ends in ruin.Psalm 3
LORD, I have so many opponents;
many things loom over me.
Many people say of me, ‘There is no way God will help him’......
But you are a shield around me;
