The Psalms 129
Be exalted above the heavens, O God;
may your glory be over all the earth!They set up a net for my steps;
I was deeply discouraged.
They dug a pit right in front of me, but they have fallen into it.........My heart is resolved, O God,
my heart is completely resolved.I will sing and praise.
Wake up worshipper!
Wake up lute and harp! I will wake at dawn.
I give thanks to you among the peoples, Lord;
I sing your praise among the nations,
because your covenant love is great, it reaches the heavens
and your faithfulness reaches the clouds.Be exalted above the heavens, O God;
may your glory be over all the earth!Psalm 61
Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.
Faint-hearted, I cry out to you from far away.
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
You have been my refuge, a tower of strength against opposition.I will live in your presence always;
I will seek refuge in the shelter of your wings.........
Oh God, you have heard my promises.
You have given me what belongs to those who honour your name.Add days to the life of the king; many generations to his years.
He will stay for ever in God’s presence;
place covenant love and faithfulness to guard him.
So I will sing praise to your name always,
to keep my promises day after day.
