Psalm 101
I sing about covenant love and justice;
I bring praise to you, LORD.
I reflect on the perfect way of life;
when will it come about for me?I go about privately in my home with personal integrity.
I do not fix my eyes on anything worthless.I hate making any wrong turn; that will not be part of my life.
I will turn away from deceit within me; I will not nurture wrongdoing.I will get rid of anyone who secretly slanders his neighbour;
I will not tolerate anyone who is proud or arrogant.I keep in view the faithful people of the land,
so that they will live near me;
anyone who walks along the perfect way will help me worship.A person who deceives will not live in my house;
anyone speaking lies will not remain in my sight.Day after day I will get rid of all the wicked people in the land,
as I completely remove from the city of the LORD
all those who practise wrongdoing.Psalm 111
Praise the LORD!
I will thank the LORD with all my heart
in the company and assembly of faithful people.
The works of the LORD are great,
studied for all their delights.
His work has splendour and majesty;
his justice stands for ever.
He has fixed his marvellous deeds in memory;
the LORD is merciful and compassionate.
