I pray for the church and mission of Christ in all places......
Lord Jesus, help all who are members of your church to walk holy
and without blame in everything. May we be the light of the world; a
city set on a hill which cannot be hidden. May your light shine as we
show faith by works and may others see by the whole direction of our
lives that our hope is laid up in heaven.^260
I pray for all in authority and for the needs of the world......
Lord Jesus, teach me to support the weak, remembering your
words, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’.^261

Conclusion
Lord, help me to walk in your sight, as one who knows that in this life
I sow for an eternal harvest. Keep my life free to the end from blame,
or reproof; and help me diligently to carry out your will where you
have chosen to place me, that I may make my calling and election
sure, through Jesus Christ our dear Lord and Saviour. Amen.^262

Preparation
My Father, my God, I am in your hands; may I rejoice above all things
in being so. Do with me what seems good to you; only let me love you
with all my mind, soul and strength. Let me be your servant for ever,
and love you with all my heart.^263
I bless you that after all my refusals of your grace you still have
