The root of wisdom is to hold the LORD in awe.^265The Word of God
My God, give me grace to study and know you daily, that the more I
know you, the more I may love you. Create in me zealous obedience
to your commands, cheerful patience under your rebuke and thankful
submission in all you permit.^266

O Lord, ‘help me remember you on my bed, and think on you when
I am waking’: you have preserved me from all the dangers of the day
past: you have been my support from my youth until now; under the
shadow of your wings let me pass this night in comfort and peace.
