Modi cations and Other Options



  • If you have stiff or sensitive knees, place a block under the sitz
    bones.

  • Place a blanket under the tops of the feet and shins for comfort.

  • If you recline, place a bolster under your back and head for support.

  • For a half-hero pose, keep one foot bent back by the outer hip
    while the other leg extends straight out (1). Repeat on the other
    side.

  • For a deeper variation, bend one knee toward the sky, keeping the
    sole of the foot  at on the  oor (2) or pull the thigh in toward the
    chest (3).
