a gentle massage to the belly organs.
Risks and Contraindications
Modify the pose if you have neck issues or discomfort in the shoulders.
Alignment Points
- Begin on your back and draw both knees into the belly.
- Keeping the right knee in, extend the left leg straight along the
oor. Reach the right arm to the right. - Place the left hand on the outer right knee, and guide the knee all
the way over into the twist. - Repeat on the other side.
Modi cations and Other Options - If you have neck issues, look straight up or perhaps in the same
direction as the bent knee. - If you have discomfort in the shoulder, bend the elbow into cactus
arm (elbow bent at 90 degrees and palms facing up).
