When the noises and sounds everywhere become so utterly deafening,
And you can no longer hear the gentle whisper of my voice,
Muffled by all the roaring voices from present, past and future...
Will you relinquish and listen to the silence, patiently waiting to be heard,
And remember the ineffable quietness that prevails at last?When you have seen more than enough, your eyes drowsy and blurry,
And you can no longer see me in your own reflection in the mirror,
Overshadowed by the darkness of our own delusions...
Will you catch a glimpse of your own light as you look up at the sky,
And recognise yourself in the space between emptiness and fullness?When the world is spinning around so fast, swirling everything in its path,
And you run past me, too busy to feel our brokenness,
Too afraid to gather our fragments scattered everywhere...
Will you still feel the quivering through your veins as you dare to reach out,
And touch a single thread of the web that connects us all?When lashed out by fierce winds, swept away by relentless ocean waves,
And you surrender in bewilderment to the fog of our experiences,
Even as it endeavours to obscure the fragrance of my heart...
Will you smell the serenity of oceanic breeze as you savour your breath,
And witness the tidal rhythm of your life in tune with the Universe?In this journey together...
When you finally come and sit with me for some precious moments,
Fully present and aware of our own vulnerability...
Will you awaken to the possibility of grasping the infinity of this moment?
Will you contemplate eternity without the harsh need to hold on to it?In this journey together...
When you can no longer look back, or take another weary step forward,
Feeling lost and alone in this immensely empty road...
Will you wake up all over again and wonder as you gaze at the stars?
