Where I Pick Up LA Yoga

When Nature enthusiast and yoga teacher Kelly Lane (kellylayneyoga.com) isn’t working at her day job in the television industry, she picks up LA YOGA at Heal and Soul Tai Chi and Yoga Studio in Encino (healandsoul.com). Kelly takes the studio’s aerial yoga classes and she loved the community get-togethers the studio hosts including hikes, beach yoga, and pizza and movie nights.

The sister festivals Shakti Fest in May and Bhakti Fest in September are my spiritual re-set buttons every summer. I love taking classes with new and different yoga teachers, indulging in meditations and workshops without interruption, and being in the bhav (the flow of devotion) with constant kirtan (call- and-response chanting). My favorite part of both festivals is celebrating such a beautiful gathering of like-minded souls in the powerful vibe of Joshua Tree. What grace!

I’m looking forward to playing
in the ocean! I love heading to
the beach and taking a swim,
especially as the water gets
warmer in summer. I’d also like
to challenge myself to complete
another triathlon at the end of
the summer.

I’m beyond excited for a summer tour adventure in a recently converted minivan, going across the country from Southern California to East coast Canada in a Toyota Minivan that I named Vanna White. Along the way, I’ll teaching Transformational Movement along the way. I’m super-duper thrilled to be traveling to Boulder, Colorado, for my first time to the Hanuman Festival. I’m excited to be living #Vanlife for the whole summer.

I’m looking forward to Shaktifest in Joshua Tree in May. The weather is perfect, the community is so sweet, and the music is divine, I’ve never felt so much love in one place.
