Yoga Bodies Real People, Real Stories, & the Power of Transformation

TIPTOE POSE VARIATION

I don’t like the front row. A lot of people who do
yoga want to practice up near the teacher, where
everybody can see them.
But in the back, blending in with the crowd, I
don’t have to show off any skills. You don’t always
want the eyes on you.
I’m always in the front of the room when I’m

leading classes, as the teacher. When I have to
turn it on, I turn it on; but when I don’t have to, I
like to be low-key. And because I teach so much,
I’m always talking, talking, talking.
But I need a lot of alone time.
So when I am a student, I practice at the back
of the room, where it’s just me and my mat.
