Books can be incorporated into the practice of yoga poses,
breathing exercises, and meditation (Lederer 2012; Ristuccia
2010; Solis 2006). While reading books, adults can pause for
yogic opportunities. For example, when reading Chicka Chicka
Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault, children
can practice tree pose. I Went Walking by Sue Williams provides
a context for several different poses, namely cat, horse, cow, duck,
pig, and dog. Adults can read the popular children’s book Baby
Beluga by Raffi and perform whale’s breath, which was mentioned
in Chapters 5 and 6. While reading Ladybird ’s Remarkable
Relaxation by Michael Chissick or Peaceful Piggy Meditation
by Kerry Lee MacLean, children can practice relaxation and
