I havea coupleoffavourite

spots. Mostly my kitchen!

But I also love a place called Café

Cempoal, which is owned by a friend

and right around the corner from my

house. I tour so much now, I like to be

close to, or in, my house. Haha.

HS Best place to take your

dog?

ShubieParkisa greatspotto

walk the dog. I used to work

there when I was 16! Scooping ice

cream for people walking their

dogs and guiding folks around the

museum, which educates people on

the Shubenacadie Canal. It has some

lovely trails, and I take the dog there

when I can.

We tend to walk the dog through

the neighbourhood. Lots of beautiful

old historic homes, and we always

seem to run into someone we know.

I love Halifax.

Harbour is always nice. Some

great beaches in that area and some

pretty great fish and chips too!

My favourite artist is my best

friend, Shelley Mansel. She is

incredibly talented and her work is

varied and so engaging. Lots of Nova

Scotia landscapes in there too!

TonightisFridaynight!I

am heading to Bearly’s to see

some live music. Will probably cook

something at home before I go. So the

best of both worlds!

We love John’s Lunch. A great

fish and chip joint in Dartmouth. I

think it has won “best fish and chips

in Canada” for several years. It is a

small diner with some amazing fish.

We get the haddock tips. Say hi to
