Why We Love
KINGSTON
O
nce the capital of Canada, Kingston, Ontario, has a rich
history, including as an important military installation.
Nicknamed Limestone City for its many heritage
buildings constructed using local limestone, the city sits
midway between Toronto and Montreal, on the eastern end of Lake
Ontario, at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River. Today the city
celebrates thriving food, arts and music scenes, but be sure to step
off-land to explore the nearby Thousand Islands. With all there is
to see and do, Kingston is one place to keep coming back to. Here’s
what to do around town.
