4 Referring to Diagram IV, sew together
1 each of units 1–6 as shown to
make block. Make 16 blocks.

5 Note: Refer to Assembly Diagram for

following steps, watching block orien-

tation. Sew 4 block rows of 4 blocks

and 3 orange A’s each. Sew 3 sashing

rows of 4 orange A’s and 3 navy B’s

each. Stitch block rows and sashing

rows together, alternating.

6 Join navy border 1 strips and cut to

size shown in Assembly Diagram.

Matching centers and ends, sew bor-

der side strips to quilt. Repeat to add

border top and bottom strips.

7 Join border 2 in same way.

8 Sew yellow 1 ̋ strips together end-to-

end. Press joined strip in half along

length and cut into 4 fl ange strips 65 ̋

long.

9 Layer, baste, and quilt. Gina machine

quilted fl owers across the quilt surface.

Pin or baste fl ange strips to each side

of border 2, aligning raw edges. Bind

the quilt.
