5 Join teal strips together end to end

and cut 4 lengths at 44 ̋ for side bind-

ing and 4 lengths at 45 ̋ for the top

and bottom binding (Diagram III). Lay

two 44 ̋ lengths wrong sides together;

fold in half lengthwise and press as

shown.

6 Open a 44 ̋ binding and lay fl at on

back side of quilt as shown in Dia-

gram IV. Place press line on binding

at ¾ ̋ from edge of back side of quilt.

Stitch along press line.

7 Referring to Diagram V, fl ip quilt over

so that front side is up and press bind-

ing to the left and seam allowance on

quilt top to the right. Topstitch ¼ ̋ on

either side of seam as shown.

8 Repeat to add second side binding,

followed by top and bottom bindings.

9 Clip all exposed seam allowances at

¼ ̋ intervals to create frayed edges.
