“HEAR YE, STUDENTS!” blasted a voice through

the intercom system and into every classroom at Pine Nut

Elementary School. “Our beloved Principal Hogwobble

has ordered a dress code, starting today. From now on all

students will wear smart little beanies, color-coded to

show their grade level. More information in the cafeteria

at lunchtime! Enjoy!”

The loudspeakers went silent, but throughout the

school, everyone could hear kids groaning and hissing.

The racket got so loud that the teachers couldn’t even
