H Models Decals

ast month we featured a

number of limited-run

decals from H Models

These sheets are produced in

small quantities normally of

just 200 sheets so sell out very

fast. This month we have four

sheets for the 1/48 scale Airix

Supermarine Walrus, the irst

sheet supplies a full set of stencils

and even has the diferent

stencils for aircraft produced by

Supermarine at Woolston and

Saunders Roe from Cowes.

The other three sheets

supplies markings for the Walrus

in Fleet Air Arm service in the

pre war silver wings schemes

and in World War 2 camoulage.

The inal sheet supplies marking

for three aircraft operated in Air

Sea Rescue work from Dundee

in Scotland during 1943.

As on previous sheets

the full-colour instructions

describe the colours needed

for the camoulage, while

four-view drawings show the

decal placement. All of the

sheets also include some of the

black and white photographs

used in the sheets’ creation.

CONCLUSION

A very nice selection for the

superb Airix Walrus in a

selection of colour schemes

that have not been touched by

other decal manufacturers.

As always the only drawback

to these decals is their

very limited production.

sheets boring but that

is until you need a certain

number and have nothing

suitable in the stash when they

suddenly become invaluable.
