9 Feel the noise
Noise is a very energetic filter – pushing it too far will
destroy the image. Tick the box marked ‘Gaussian’, and keep the
Amount slider to less than 20%. We ticked the Monochromatic
box as this removes colour from the noise. Gaussian adds more
noise to the midtones of the image, whereas the Uniform setting
spreads it evenly over shadows, midtones and highlights. By
concentrating the noise in the midtones, we get a sharper result.


10 Add a frame
Elements is fullofready-madegraphicsyoucanuse.Save
your image, then opena newdocument.Pressthe‘+’-shaped
Graphics button (bottomright).Sortbytype,andchooseframes
from the drop-downmenu,thenscrolluntilyoufindoneyoulike.
It will download, thenappearonyourdocument.Clickthe‘Get
new photo’ button,andchoosethePSDfileyoucreated.Then
rotate and scale itusingthetoolsprovidedsoit fitstheframe.Q
