various routes for Sun Destinations in winter 2019/20 season, already
reflected in recent schedule updates. As of 16Jul19, planned service

Adria Airways [JP/ADR] [Slovenia] will seek opportunities outside
Slovenia as it looks to become a strong regional player. It is in strategic
partnership talks with an unnamed US company, with a decision
expected within a month.
Adria Airways Switzerland [Switzerland] is under investigation by
Swiss prosecutors who question the disappearance of funds shortly
after being acquired.
Aer Lingus [EI/EIN] [Eire] has announced additional Airbus A321neo
LR services to London Heathrow from Shannon. From 29Mar20, one of
its three daily services will be operated by A321neo LR.
Aero K [South Korea] plans to apply for its AOC in August 2019. It has
selected Cheongju as its base, launching operations in March 2020
with one A320 located at the airport.
Aeroflot [SU/AFL] [Russia] and two other Russian airlines cancelled
several flights to and from the Czech Republic after the Czech
Transport Ministry withdrew permits for the flights in retaliation for
Russia limiting the right of Czech Airlines to use routes across Siberia
on its flights from Prague to Seoul. However, on 03Jul19 it temporarily
resumed operations on the Moscow – Prague route.
Aeroflot will lease three A321neos for 12 years, with delivery in
3Q20. The lessor selection will be announced after tender. It also plans
to lease four A320neos for delivery in 2020 on 12‑year terms, and also
pick up two more A320neos under operational leases. Total contact
value for the A320neod is US$566.4 million.
Skyteam members Aeroflot and Vietnam Airlines have commenced
a reciprocal codeshare partnership, covering selected domestic routes,
as well as flights between Russia and Vietnam. Approximately effective
from 11Jun19 (or earlier), the planned codeshare routes include the
following:

Aerolineas Argentinas [AR/ARG] [Argentina] and Delta Air Lines
(US) are said to be in talks over a joint venture, now that a new air
agreement between the US and Argentina has been signed.
Aeromexico [AM/AMX] [Mexico] says it will invest US$500 million
dollars during 2019, for engines and equipment. Within the next six
years, the carrier will reach funding of US$3 billion.
Aeromexico has suspended services to Liberia, Belize, Punta Cana,
Guayaquil, and Cali due to the global B737 MAX grounding.
