Air China has announced additional changes to its long‑haul
operation for winter 2019/20 season. At time this post goes to press,
the following are the changes already reflected in the schedules, with
additional changes expected in the next few weeks.



  • Beijing Capital – Athens eff 27Oct19: 3rd weekly service (Day 1)
    introduced in summer 2019 is now scheduled as year‑round

  • Beijing Capital – London Heathrow eff 27Oct19: CA855/856 A330‑
    300 replaces A350‑900XWB. Overall 7 weekly 777‑300ER and 10

  • Beijing Capital – Los Angeles eff 27Oct19: Reduce from 19 to 14

Air Europa [UX/AEA] [Spain] has signed a new joint venture
agreement with Air France‑KLM for flying to Latin America, after more
than a year of negotiations.

Air France [AF/AFR] [France] says the SNPL pilot union will launch a
referendum on the development of Transavia, which is looking to move
beyond its current fleet cap of 40 aircraft.
Air France is mulling an order for either the A220‑300 or A320neo,
with a deal to be announced soon.
The carrier may face trial over a fatal A330 crash in 2009 involving
flight AF447 between Rio de Janeiro and Paris which killed all 228
people on board, a judicial source said.
Air France has obtained Canadian regulatory approval to launch
flights between Paris CDG and Tahiti Faa’a via Vancouver.
Air France and Air Madagascar will once again meet in the Paris
Commercial Court over the dispute of the lease of two A340s.
Air France HOP! pilots are suspending the strike threat to support
their claim to be integrated into their parent Air France.
The carrier is to discontinue its winter season Paris to Kyiv flights,
which were due to start from 27Oct19.
Together with KLM and Delta, Air France will operate 20 special
flights for Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas between 7‑10 Jan
2020: Air France from CDG with B772/3, KLM from Amsterdam with
B789/747 and Delta from CDG with B777 and Amsterdam with A332.

codeshare partnership, covering domestic routes in France and
