Fly All Ways [Suriname] has put up three F70s for sale, serials 11579,
11556 and 11570, for about US$6.9 million.

Fly Angola [Angola] is in the final stages of securing an EMB120 on
lease for flights to the country’s western and northern provinces, while
a second ERJ145 will also be targeted once the company has secured
its own AOC –AeroJet (Angola) currently operates the aircraft. Fly
Angola is also looking to set up a mini‑hub in Benguela.

Fly Jamaica [Jamaica] has been de‑certified in Guyana following the
recent suspension of its operating certificate in Jamaica.

Fly Titan [S. Africa] has been rebranded as Private Sky Charter and
has new investment partners.

Flyadeal [F3/FAD] [Saudi Arabia] will not finalise its commitment to
the B737 MAX due to schedule requirements. The provisional order,
which included additional options for 20 MAX jets, was worth US$5.9
billion at list prices. The airline will take delivery from 2021 of 30
A320neos ordered by its parent Saudia.

Flybe [BE/BEE] [UK] will discontinue multiple routes across Europe,
as it tapers off E195 operations. It is to drop its London Southend –
Antwerp route from 31Aug19, which is currently operated by Stobart
(Ireland) ATR72‑600.
The carrier has gradually updated its operational schedule for the
winter 2019/20 season, effective from 27Oct19. Announced by the
airline earlier this year, it is closing following Cardiff and Doncaster/
Sheffield base, while reducing its Exeter base operation. All changes
are based on schedule listings up to 15Jul19, in comparison with
historical schedules. Note that selected changes will take place from
late August 2019, and this post includes changes to service operated
by franchise carriers.

    and 3 flights in September 2018

  • Birmingham – Inverness: E175 last operated until April 2016

  • Manchester – Aberdeen: E175 last operated until March 2018
    (E175 schedule listed until 28Mar20)


requirements, Fastjet’s application for a new licence was turned down
after failing to meet the April 2019 deadline. The next licencing
meeting is in November.


Fastjet [South Africa] has announced that CEO Nico Bezuidenhout to
leave the airline at the end of September 2019, as he returns as CEO of
Mango (South Africa). Mark Hurst, currently Deputy Group CEO, will
take up the position of acting CEO.


FedEx [US] has decided to not renew its contract with Amazon (US) for
US cargo delivery through FedEx Express (US), the unit that delivers
packages on aircraft.
FedEx Express has exercised options to purchase six more B767‑
300Fs from Boeing, with delivery in fiscal 2022.
The company has added a B767F to its European operations, which
will replace its A300 operations.


Fiji Airways [FJ/FJI] [Fiji] has dropped plans to order A330neos and
opted instead for two A350s. The carrier will also retain its A330s. For
summer 2019, it may be short of four aircraft due to the B737 MAX
grounding. Fiji Airways and Boeing are in talks regarding B737 MAX
compensation.

Fiji Airports has stopped jet aircraft operations at Nausori Airport,
Suva between 26Jul19 and 26Oct19, due to runway works. As a result,
Fiji Airways has cancelled its direct Auckland – Suva, Suva‑Auckland
and Sydney‑Suva, Suva‑Sydney services during this period.

China Southern and Finnair have announced reciprocal codeshare
partnership, covering services between Helsinki and Guangzhou, as
well as routes beyond the two airports. The codeshare partnership
commenced on 01Jun19.

Finnair and Juneyao Airlines have opened reservations for their
codeshare partnership, which began on 28Jun19. The new codeshare

Firefly [7E/FFM] [Malaysia] is aiming to connect Singapore with more
destinations in Malaysia as it works to expand flights from Seletar
Airport.


First Air [Canada] and Canadian North have completed the
transaction that will enable them to begin merging their operations
under the name ‘Canadian North’. The work of fusing the airlines into
a single pan‑Arctic airline will take between 18‑24 months.
