Helvetic Airways [2L/OAW] [Switzerland] has retired its last
remaining F100, serial 11478, which is being replaced by E190‑E2 jets.

Hifly [5K/HFY] [Portugal] has announced the addition of three new
A319‑100s to its fleet, delivered in May and June 2019. The carrier
plans to take delivery of its second A380 in 2020, once ir evaluates the
performance of the first superjumbo. It hopes to become a “platform”
for management of A380s as they enter the secondary market over the
next 10 years. Hi Fly plans to grow its fleet to 100 aircraft over the next
10 years, including adding more A380s.

HNA Group [China] may be able to regain control of Hong Kong
Airlines again, with new investors being introduced as soon as July


  1. The airline has gradually received funds and paid off some debts,
    including the US$50 million owed to Rolls Royce (UK), which was due
    three years ago.


Holiday Europe [Bulgaria], a newly established airline based in Sofia,
plans to offer ACMI services from 2H19 with two A321s.

Hong Kong Airlines [N8/CRK] [China – Hong Kong] and its
shareholder Hong Kong Airlines Consultation Service Co are being
sued by HNA Group (China) over as much as US$149.8 million in debt,
as another legal battle looms for the city’s troubled carrier.
The carrier has received interest from a consortium of mainland
Chinese and Hong Kong investors who are bidding to buy it. The new
investors will inject at least US$291 million of capital and assume part
of the carrier’s debt.
Hong Kong Airlines is reviewing its entire route network and has
not ruled out axing all long‑haul flights. Aircraft deliveries are also
under review, including the planned lease of four A320s by end of 2019
from parent HNA Group (China).
Hong Kong Airlines has been urged by Japan’s aviation safety
watchdog to take measures to ensure its aircraft parts are no threat to
people and property after the carrier;s aircraft were found with
missing parts in six cases.
The carrier has agreed with Hainan Airlines and Airbus to transfer
the purchase rights of two A350‑900s, serials 365 and 371 to Hainan
Airlines. HNA Group (China) and Hainan Airlines will guarantee the the
loan contract with China Development Bank.
Hong Kong Airlines has adjusted long‑haul operations for the
winter 2019/20 season. Previously the airline filed frequency
reductions until mid December 2019, however this has been extended
into the first quarter of 2020.

Get Jet [7XGJY] [Lithuania) will operate Split – Vilnius charters in
September 2019 with an A320.


Globalia [Spain] ended 2018 with a net profit of US$54.5 million and
consolidated turnover up 4.3% to $4.3 million.
The carrier was granted authorisation from Brazil regulators to
operate domestic operations within the country, thus becoming the
first company to take advantage of the change in laws surrounding
foreign capital. It will begin Brazil operations as a LCC flying the Rio de
Janeiro‑Sao Paulo route under a new brand for the country.


Globella Linhas Aeras [Brazil] – a subsidiary of Air Europa’s parent –
has received Brazilian AOC allowing it to operate domestic services,
subject to final Presidential signature of act allowing subsidiaries of
foreign airlines to set up in Brazil.


GoAir [G8/GOW] [India] has no immediate plans of ordering any
widebodies, but could look at it sometime in the future.

Great Dane Airlines [GD/GDE] [Denmark] expects its second E195 in
August 2019, shortly after beginning scheduled services. The carrier
plans one or two additional E195s each year with profitability in 2020.
The airline is also looking for feeder agreements with Lufthansa
(Germany) or Finnair (Finland). It launched operations with its first
flight from Aalborg Airport to Rhodes and has since launched services
from Aalborg to Edinburgh with the E195.


Gulf Air [GF/GFA] [Bahrain] may launch flights to Brazil soon, as
Brazil and Bahrain met to discuss the attraction of investments to the
sector in the country.

membership only scheduled services in California in the second half of
2019, flying from Nevada & Arizona using four ERJ‑135s.


Hainan Airlines [H4/CHH] [China] signed a strategic cooperation
framework agreement with the state‑owned Beijing Tourism Group
(China) to transfer equity in Beijing Capital Airlines, as well as increase
capital, and other forms of equity capital for restructuring.
Hong Kong Airlines (China) has agreed with Hainan Airlines and
