CHILTERN PARK, WALLINGFORD, OXON – Noted here on 11th July
was Turweston based Magni M.24C G-PLOP.

COSTOCK HELIPORT, NOTTS – Further to last month, Leonardo
AW109SP G-RAYN was actually delivered to here from Sywell on 2nd July.

COTSWOLD, GLOS – During the Fly-In held on 29th June for the re-
opening of the AV8 restaurant, a glimpse into the open hangars
revealed Beagle Pup G-AWKO (Ampney Crucis owner), Champion 7ECA
G-EGWN & dismantled Piper PA-28-161 G-WFFW (badly damaged on
landing at RAF Lyneham 2nd December 2009), the latter two we had
attributed to Oaksey Park.
Also hangared was Jodel DR1050 Replica G-CESA, but it was
probably lingering following the Permit renewal on 4th June before
return North to the Trench Farm, Penley strip.
Former Qatar Airways Airbus A340-642 2-AGDD [798] arrived from
Doha on 5th July for parting out by ASI.

COVENTRY, WARKS – On 20th June Piper PA-28-181 G-LCTC was noted.
However it was not formally registered as such until 11th July. Cessna
172N G-BUJN seems to have moved in here from Wellesbourne
Mountford. In with Aerotech Aircraft Maintenance was Piper PA-46-
350P G-DNOP. Then on 30th June Aerotech had Beech F33A D-EEWA
(presumably in the process of becoming G-EEWA), Piper PA-28-
G-BDSH & Cessna 172M G-BHCC.
Further to last month, Douglas C-47B G-ANAF (marked as KP220)
actually flew across the Channel to Cherbourg on 6th June, making it
the only Dakota to undertake the Channel crossing on the actual D-Day
anniversary itself. It was being operated by Aero Legends from Caen-
Carpiquet for para-dropping flights on 7th June.
On 12th July two more Piper PA-28-181s for L3 CTS, N7118Z
[2881168] and N7119J [2881169], arrived from Wick at the end of a
trans-Atlantic ferry flight.

CRANFIELD, BEDS – Present on 9th July were Diamond DA 40s G-CTSG,
G-CTSM, G-CTSO & G-CTSP, back from Ponte de Sor, Portugal for the
new L3 CTS school here, having been replaced by some of the new
Piper PA-28-181s that were delivered through Coventry.

CRAWLESS FARM, BERKELEY HEATH, GLOS – Currently here with Alex
Vernon of AV Motorcycles is the nose section of Hunter GA.11 G-BWGK
(cancelled by CAA 16th March 2011).

DENHAM, BUCKS – Robinson R44 G-WILC, which departed Denham on
23rd June participating in the Greenland Air Trophy, returned to

to Venezia, Italy. Learjet 45 5N-BLW carried out engine runs numerous
times during June and finally departed on 11th July to Palma, either
returning home or having been sold. Hawker 800XP 5V-TTM is expected
to be San Marino registered shortly. Challenger 604 2-BLUE arrived on
28th June and Hawker 900XP F-HICU departed on 7th July.
Beech B200 SE-MJE arrived on 1st July for MCA Aviation. Beech 250
M-JACK departed on 10th July while Piper PA-46R-350T G-EXPO was
air-tested on 10th July after being here a few months.
Piper PA-38-112 G-BGRX has been stored outside Fast Aviation
with its CofA expired since 2016. It has now been renewed & it was test
flown on 8th July, but only for 10 minutes before returning with a
problem.
Overseas-registered helicopters are a rarity here but June had three.
Airbus H145 T7-NKA [20219] arrived from Thruxton & departed to
Dinard on 5th June. Eurocopter EC135P2 VP-BHC [0989] arrived from
Waterford & night stopped on 21st June before departing to Le Touquet
and Robinson R44 F-OKCP [12030] visited for an hour on 24th June.


BOURNE PARK, HURSTBOURNE TARRANT, HANTS – A pre-arranged
visit here on 19th June found the following civil registered Gazelles
present: SA341C G-BZDV; SA341D G-CBSH (cancelled by CAA 13th
November 2017, still marked as XX406/P); SA341D G-CBSK (marked as
ZB627/A); SA341D G-CLGO (marked as XZ939); SA341C G-CTFS; SA341D
G-TSTR (marked as ZB625); G-VOIP (Permit to Fly expired 10th
February 2018) and SA341C G-ZZLE (marked as XX436/CU-39). Also
noted were unconverted examples XX453/D, XZ323/J & damaged
XZ936/6, all of which were previously in store at MoD Boscombe Down.


BOXTED, SUFFOLK – Pre-event bookings for the LAA Suffolk Coastal
Strut Fly-In here on 6th July revealed a few extra/amended bases,
updating BIR2019: SIPA 903 G-BBDV (Hill Farm, Nayland); Cassutt
Racer G-BPVO (Waits Farm, Belchamp Walter); Skyranger G-CCIK
(Chase Farm, Little Burstead); Ikarus C42 G-CCNT (Chatteris); EuroFOX
G-CJTE (Sywell); Quik GTR G-CHFC (Great Oakley); QuikR G-CLBN
(Bourn) and Van’s RV-6 G-GLUC (Hardwick). Despite a few cancellations
due to an incoming cold front, the total visiting on the day was a
respectable 38.


BREIGHTON, N. YORKS – Cessna FR172E G-THIN arrived on 1st June
and is now resident. Stored locally off the airfield are a couple of new
projects that arrived in late May – namely Adam RA14 F-PFUG [11] ex
Sibsey and an unfinished & as yet unregistered Pietenpol Air Camper.


BRISTOL, SOMERSET – Based here in Dyson’s private hangar is
Gulfstream 650 G-VIOF, along with Agusta AW139s G-DCII & G-DVIO.


BROOK FARM, PILLING, LANCS – Confirmed based here on 7th July was
X’Air Hawk G-SPDY (despite its owner’s Abergele address), while the
following are no longer believed to be based here: Magni M16 G-BZXW
