on board) from Moscow-Vnukovo to Minsk at night with an overtired crew at the controls when
the instructor pilot lost spatial orientation in a layer of ground fog shortly after lift-off and
attempted a forced landing, but the slow-flying aircraft banked from one side to the other with
the result that a wing touched the ground 1,500 metres from the runway threshold and the
aircraft crashed; all 8 crew and the sole passenger were slightly injured; soc 30Mar59.
Il-12P 83012816 CCCP-L1719 Aeroflot – Ukraine Directorate; details of its fate are now known; dbr 12Feb58 on a freight flight
from Moscow-Vnukovo to Kiev-Zhulyany when it approached Zhulyany in poor weather (low
clouds and fog) and tried to land there, but came in too low, failed to go around and collided
with trees and with a house, all 6 crew and all those in the house escaped unhurt; t/t 9,507
hours; soc 26May58.

cargo flight from Moscow-Vnukovo to Sverdlovsk when it encountered poor visibility on final
approach at night, dropped below the glide slope due to crew and ATC error, came down hard
537 metres short of the runway threshold and suffered substantial damage, 2 of the 5 crew
members were slightly injured; t/t 8,961 hours; soc by the West Siberian Directorate 03Apr57.

1 km before the inner marker, suffering substantial damage; some of the 19 passengers were

that the aircraft veered off the runway in the direction of the apron and collided with 2 Yak-12Ms
which were undergoing maintenance (CCCP-74053 was destroyed and CCCP-L5995 was
damaged); the Li-2 was repaired but was cancelled on 18Aug59 as worn out.
