Germs can go in your
nostrils when you
breathe. But hairs in
your nose act like a net

farther into your ear.

If I hold my nose shut, can germs
still get in?

Germs that do make it into
your mouth get washed
down to your stomach.
Stomach acids there not
only break down the food
you eat but also kill germs!
