FEEL THE TREMOR

remor is Ford’s “rock crushing” new off-
road package for the 2020 Super Duty.
With the Power Wagon clearly in its
sights—the press release claimed bet-
ter towing and payload capacities than
Dodge’s brute—Ford’s Tremor package includes a
2-inch front-end lift, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler
DuraTrac tires on 18-inch matte-finished wheels,
progressive-rate springs, twin-tube shocks with
1.7-inch pistons and internal hydraulic rebounds,
an electric locking rear diff and a new Dana
limited-slip front diff, the skidplates from the FX
models, and runningboards that tuck up against
the body “ for damage control.”
The Tremor package is available for XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and
Platinum F-250 and F-350 Super Duty models with either the 7.3L
gas or 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. Ford’s 10-speed automatic
transmission allows the addition of a Rock Crawl mode to the
truck’s selectable drive modes. Gas-powered Tremor models have
a 53:1 crawl ratio, while diesel-powered ones have a 44:1 crawl
ratio. Ford’s Trail Control, “like cruise control for off-road driving,”
is al so on board. The Tremor Of f- Road Package will be available
