Bathroom shower
upgrade

ou know how it goes: it started as
the replacement of the shower door

The door had three overlapping and
sliding panels that were forever coming
of their tracks and trapping my wife,

rose also sprayed in all directions and

When I started to remove the old
shower door, I noticed that the shower
wall linings looked a bit dodgy, the
bottom edges were breaking up where
they touched the sides of the stainless-
steel base pan, so I decided to replace

says they should sit clear so that the

need care in handling, measuring, and

Getting stuck in
I removed the old door and ripped out
the old wall linings without trouble,
and added 10mm thick laths to all the
MRLVWVDQGGZDQJVVRWKDWWKHQHZOLQHUV
ZRXOG VLW PP SURXG , DOVR DGGHG
some new horizontal dwangs on the
back wall so that I can attach a wall-
PRXQWHGVHDWLQWKHIXWXUHLI,ZDQW
The shower mixer and connector elbow
also needed to be packed out 10mm to
suit the new wall surface when it all
ZHQWEDFNWRJHWKHUf
