he crew at DWS Classics in Huntington
Beach, California, is truly comprised of early
Chevrolet C10 fans. DWS Classics’ owner,
Darin Smith, is always open to grab a C10 if a
deal presents itself. During some searching through ads
on Craigslist for a grille and stainless trim, he observed
several C10s in various states of disassembly behind a
farmhouse—and he knew he was in the right place. Darin
asked about some more parts and what the owner might
be doing with some of the trucks lying around. One of
the trucks Darin asked about was the truck you see here.
Walking along, Darin and the farmer saw another C10
shortbed, a ’63. Darin asked about a package deal for
the two shortbed C10s and a few parts. With very little
haggling, a deal was quickly agreed upon. To this day,
Darin and the farmer have stayed in touch—a good source
of C10 parts is always important.DWS Classics’
