the event. In addition to the family relatives,

close friends, and distinguished guests who

congratulated the bride and groom, VIP guests

included Deputy Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri

Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her husband,

YB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim as well as the

Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer

Affairs, YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution

Ismail. Also in attendance were former Deputy

Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs,

families hosted a dramatic wedding reception

designed and organized by international

wedding consultant Glam Weddings by

Rizalman. “I love the beauty of the sea and

the underwater world; therefore, the wedding

reception was based on an underwater-fantasy

theme inspired by the island of Atlantis,”

Syafiqua says. The wedding reception was

lively, and at the centre of it all, was the

charming and beaming newlywed. Syafiqua

looked most elegant wearing an ivory

dress designed by Bernard Chandran, the

international fashion designer from Malaysia

dubbed as the “King of Fashion”, while the

groom appeared in an elegant, luxurious, and
