As colourful as the ceremonies and
the friends is the journey that these two
lovebirds had been through. Syafiqua’s first
encounter with Faiz took place when they
were both studying in London. However, at
that time, they had no opportunity to get
to know each other well. In 2015, Syafiqua
returned to Malaysia. At the same time, Faiz,
who had finished his education in accounting
and finance from Durham University in the
UK, returned home to Malaysia. In 2016,
they found each other again and their love
blossomed selflessly and faithfully.
One memorable moment was when Faiz
took a long journey, driving alone in the
middle of the night for about eight hours
from Kuala Lumpur to the forest in the area
of Taman Negara in Pahang—just to help out
Syafiqua and her friend who were having a
sticky situation while on vacation.“I discovered that he is such a genuine
person with the biggest and kindest heart,”
she says. “Faiz is very caring and loving,
displays great empathy, and has a deep
understanding towards others.” At the end
of 2016, their relationship reached its peak.
Surrounded by the glittering city lights and
under the strands of stars in the sky, at the
Eiffel Tower in Paris, Syafiqua and Faiz
pledged their loyalty a committed relationship.
Three years later, Faiz formally asked
for the blessing of Syafiqua’s parents, which,
to his surprise, went very smoothly, and her
parents agreed to them being married. “One
of the pieces of advice her dad gave was that
marriage is all about building a loving family
and a happy home, so we are extremely grateful
that we both have the same philosophy and
outlook on the importance of good family
relationship,” Faiz says. Focusing on the
present to live life fully, the lovely couple
are now ready to explore the world together
and sparing much time and effort for their
beloved families.
