What’s it like to be back to where it
all began for you 25 years ago?
It’s really lovely! I’ve had the best
three weeks seeing all my friends
while I’ve been filming. It really is
such a family, it’s like coming home.
I said to them as we sat in the Green
Room, ‘You don’t understand what
really good friends you all are.’
There’s something special about
working on such a big show for so
many years, and only you having
been there know how that goes.
Your kids seem settled in Malibu...
My kids love it, but they also love
London. I feel like we’ve got the
best of both worlds and, at some
point in your life, if you want to do
something you just have to go and
do it because none of us knows
how long we’re going to be here –
especially in Walford. We could be
blown up any second or just
sat on the swings in the Square for
the rest of our lives!
