Can her magic lasso save this one? The much-hyped sequel Wonder
Woman 1984 is in chaos, a source on set tells Star. Execs didn’t take the
film to ComicCon because they “didn’t have enough exciting scenes edited
to show.” Director Patty Jenkins and producer-star Gal Gadot are said to
be scheduling reshoots, weighing L.A. over Europe because it’s cheaper.
“They’ve left some complicated sequences until the end of the schedule,
because they wanted the first part of the shoot to focus on the emotions
and the story. But this is cutting it close,” says the insider, as this isn’t
how it’s done on other blockbusters, and the timing is making the studio
nervous: “The sequel has a much higher budget than the first — and far
bigger expectations attached.” A studio rep says claims of trouble on set
are “completely untrue.” ★Are Grace and Karen having it out IRL? Debra
Messing and Megan Mullally have fans
wondering if their personal squabbles are the
reason behind the cancellation of the Will &
Grace reboot, and the drama played out on
Instagram. The stars recently unfollowed each
other, with each posting cryptic messages about
unhealthy attachments. Megan reportedly
shared a now-deleted story saying she felt
her “best” now that she’s lost her “attachment
to somebody who isn’t good for you.” That
post came a few days after Debra encouraged
fans to vote for Will & Grace at the Emmys,
conspicuously not tagging Megan on the post.
The upcoming Emmys, airing Sept. 22, may shed
light on the alleged feud. ★Him, too? Katy Perry’s bad week got even worse, as she was accused
of sexual assault by a model who appeared in her Teenage Dream
video in 2010. In an Instagram post, model Josh Kloss (pictured)
alleged that Katy pulled down his pants and underwear, exposing his
penis, at a party for her stylist, Johnny Wujek. Josh places the timing
of the alleged assault, about which he wrote, “Can you imagine how
pathetic and embarrassed I felt?” around 2011, after Katy’s breakup
with Russell Brand. This isn’t the first time Katy’s been linked to
inappropriate touching: In 2017, she was accused of groping Shawn
Mendes on a red carpet, though he later retracted the claim; and
last year she made the news for placing an unexpected kiss on
an American Idol contestant. Stylist Johnny calls the allegation
“bulls**t,” insisting “Katy would never do something like that.” ★WONDER WOMAN SEQUEL
