If Clooney can’t get to Lake Como, he’ll bring Lake Como to him! George
and Amal Clooney are reportedly in the process of renovating their Los
Angeles home, a six-room Studio City villa the actor purchased back in
1995 from Stevie Nicks for a modest $2.2 million.
“He and Amal spend more time than ever in L.A. these days,” explains
a Star source, “so he’s making their home there more comfortable and
more in line with his aesthetic.”
The reno will be a spare-no-expenses, multimillion-dollar job, the
source adds. George is building two additional living quarters and has
commissioned a well-known Italian architect for the job. “It’s like he’s
bringing his favorite place, Italy, to L.A.” And if the finished product
resembles George and Amal’s lavish compound in Laglio even remotely,
it’s sure to be impressive. Chimes the insider: “He already has the permits,
so it’s a go!” Fans can expect an homage to all the Italian architectural
elements he loves: “He’s adding a bridge and water features, and a
funicular, of all things!” Seems the couple truly are enjoying la dolce vita. ★an ex. Jennifer Aniston’s longtime bestie,
Courteney Cox, has not only stayed pals with
Jen’s ex Justin Theroux, but also helped plan his
birthday party, leaving Jen “utterly betrayed,” a
source spills to Star.
“Courteney didn’t organize Jen’s 50th at
Sunset Tower, so Jen can’t get her head around
why her so-called best friend has gone behind
her back to make such an effort with Justin.”
And though Jen’s rep denies the story, according
to the source, Jen “called Courteney in tears,
accusing her of taking it a step too far by planning
her ex’s big day.” Adding insult to injury, Courteney
didn’t even invite Jen to the party before the call.
She then did extend an offer, but “there was no
way Jen was going to accept the invitation at such
late notice.” An insider hinted that Courteney
may be jealous that Jen’s partnered with Reese
Witherspoon on the Apple series The Morning
Show, and is getting tight with Justin to get back
at her. Once inseparable, the source says, the
