URPRISINGLY, this
time, BJP has managed
to get 30 more seats than
they did last time in 2014,
although there was no
Modi wave before the
election. Referring to the
article ‘Modi Matters’ by
Parsa Venkateshwar Rao,
which almost covers all the
reasons and questioning
behind Modi’s victory. I
agree with his statement
that may be it is due to the
lack of strong competition
against Modi in voters’
eyes could be the reason
for this glorious victory.
Or his use of Pulwama and
Balakot incidents for the
political gain. Because if we
talk about reality, Modi-
led government has done
nothing apart from fascism,
lust to divide the country in
the name of ‘Hindutva Raj’,
ignoring the real and major

problems India is facing.
Modi and Shah have only
shown in the last five years
that they are very good
at fighting elections and
winning them and they are
not interested in anything
else. Whatever good that
happens in the course of
governance is a side-effect
of the Modi-Shah plan to
win an election.

EFER to the article
‘Shah The New
Shahenshah’ by Bhavdeep
Kang which is quite rightly
put, that Shah’s victorious
strategy is mostly the
reason behind BJP’s victory.
A man with the avowed aim
of having the BJP rule from
“panchayat to Parliament”,
Amit Sha has built his
party into a formidable

army that has been forever
marching on since he took
charge as its president in
July 2014, turning India
more saffron than it has
ever been. He combined
BJP’s core Hindutva plank
with a hardcore nationalism
agenda and set up a huge
ground-level organizational
setup to execute it – BJP’s
‘Chanakya’ Amit Shah,
blazed such a trail that
‘Modi Wave 2.0’ surpassed
its own original avatar
with a much bigger saffron
surge. Amit Shah the astute
strategist often hailed as
the BJP’s most successful
president for crafting its
way to power states after
states. Along with RSS
working on building a big
tent state-specific social
coalitions.

HE Election
Commission has come
under intense scrutiny
during the Lok Sabha
election 2019 for its inability
to take swift action against
those violating the Model
Code of Conduct. It took
a rap on its knuckles by
the Supreme Court for
the EC to crack the whip.
The article ‘The Inglorious
Election Commission’
by Rashme Sehgal is so
well title and covered
all ignorance done by
Election Commission for
BJP’s head i.e. the duo of
Modi-Shah. Complaints
after complaints, violation

HE situation is grim for
the Congress and nobody
knows how to extricate the
party from the mess. The
article ‘Rudderless Congress
Under Rahul’ by Reeta Singh
caught my attention, as it has
very precisely covered the
umpteenth number of factors
for Congress losing the Lok
Sabha Election 2019. The
Congress party constitution
and its tradition vest almost
unassailable powers with the
party president.

after violation, all ignored
by Election Commission
make us think about
the credibility of our
systems and laws. The
ECI’s independence,
fairness, impartiality and
efficiency are perceived to
be compromised, thereby
endangering the integrity of
the electoral process which
is the very foundation of
Indian democracy. We as
citizens are distressed to
note the misuse, abuse and
blatant disregard of the
Model Code of Conduct
by the ruling party at the
center. But the EC was
certainly not toothless
when it came to taking
action against Opposition
leaders and especially Rahul
Gandhi.
