FOR LOVE OF THE OUTDOORS
When the homeowners purchased the property, which spans
several acres, they decided to demolish the existing house and get
rid of the pool out back to accomplish their goals. They wanted
to take advantage of the property’s amazing riverside views and
make use of the space, both indoors and outdoors.
(opposite, top) The dining room evokes classic farmhouse style with a wooden
table, spindle-back dining chairs and hardwood fl oors. Tan-colored walls
and creamy white wainscoting lighten the space. (top, left) The homeowners
wanted classic elements, such as an indoor fi replace, in the dining room.
But Legacy Builders cleverly masked the fi replace in white trim to maintain
the color palette in the home. (top, right) The butler’s pantry combines a
traditional look with farmhouse style. The patterned backsplash adds
eye-catching appeal to an otherwise monotone, yet elegant, small space.
(bottom, right) In addition to the neutral color palette, the homeowners added
pops of blue and green color throughout the house. While the foyer displays
chairs with a traditional pattern, the kitchen features chairs with a more
down-to-earth, checkered pattern.
