Robotics, instrumentation, medical equipment;
pilot or logic systems. This complete family of
miniature valves uses the industry proven Flexible
Seal Seatewhich combines metal-to-metal and
soft seal seating to ensure superior leak-tight
control and longer service life. Economical instal-
lation needing no special machining. Steel, brass
and stainless steel. Check, Shuttle and Lock
versions. Pressures to 6,000 psi.

Belt alignment automation
switches from Steute!
Steute belt-alignment automation switches are
now available through ZF Electronics
Steute offers a very diverse range of industrial grade switchgear to those
working in the industrial automation space. The reason is simple; we listen
carefully to the wishes of our users and develop not only standard switches,
but also products tailored to individual needs. We incorporate tried and
tested electrome chanical and non-contact technologies.

When bulk materials are not evenly spread down the middle of a conveyor belt, or when the
belt’s pulleys or idlers become dirty, this can cause the belt to move off-centre – which in turn
can lead to belt damage and/or falling materials.
In order to prevent this, belt alignment switches are mounted on both sides of the conveyor
belt. They monitor the alignment of the belt and transmit a signal if it becomes misaligned.
This can lead to the conveyor system being switched off, the belt being automatically adjusted
and/or the triggering of additional alarms.
Belt alignment switches are thus true switchgear specialists. Due to the ambient conditions
in which bulk materials are conveyed, the switches must have a very robust design and be
suitable for use in extreme temperatures. (Dust) explosion protection requirements also often
have to be met.
The steute range includes several series in metal housings and with high protection classes
(IP 6x). They differ in e.g. size, method of unlocking (lever, push button) and temperature
range (from -40 °C up to +100 °C).

ZF Electronics is the exclusive seller of Steute Automation, Extreme and Wireless products in the North American market.Steute is a German company well known for their high quality products and unmatched quality.

Linear Stepper Motor
With a Tiny Footprint
THE PFL20 LINEARSTEP is
an effcient, high thrust tin-can
linear actuator with just a 20 mm
diameter and a bipolar winding. It
is RoHS-compliant, has a 30/60-mm
effective stroke, and can put out 6
N of force at 200 pps. With 24 steps
per revolution, the lead screw has
a 1.2-mm thread pitch. It’s rated voltage is
5 V, has a resistance of 33 Ohms per phase,
and has an inductance of 12 mH per phase. The
simple structure—just a threaded rotor hub and lead
screw—saves space and reduces costs, thanks to fewer
components needed compared to devices that convert
rotary motion to linear. The motors are said to be easy
to control and can be ordered with unipolar or bipolar
windings and a variety of usable voltages. In addition to
the 20 mm motor size, this motor is also available in 25
mm (captive or non-captive option) and 35 mm diameter
sizes. They can also be customized.
