THE WOMEN IN THE FINAL!

One year after its narrow final against
Montpellier in Carcassonne (12-
15), Stade Toulousain Rugby Women, at the
time of going to print, was preparing to play,
Saturday, May 18, the remake of the final
2018 against these same Montpellier. After
being crowned champion of France second
division in 2015, the girls will try to write
history and clinch the first elite shield 1 in
their history.
Present in Pool 2 of this Women’s Top 16,
the Toulousaines dominated the debates by
finishing first round with 64 points (13 wins
for a single loss).
Logically qualified for the finals,
the Stadistes had, in the quarter-final,
a solid team from Stade Rennais Rugby

to Ernest Wallon (22-10).
In the semifinals, the girls went to Auch
to challenge neighbour Blagnacais, solid
second in Pool 1. After a controlled match,
the girls came out victorious in this derby
(30-15).
 Against the reigning French champions,
Gaëlle Hermet’s team-mates will have a lot
to do.
The MRC Women have dominated Pool
1 of the Top 16 and is simply unbeaten (14
wins in 14 games).
The Montpellier have joined the final
without difficulty. In the quarterfinals, they
won against Grenoble (51-7) and dominated
Bayonne in the semi finals (40-12).

A MATTER OF CHOICE
As the initiator of this first
collaboration between
Scania and Beulas, Faur said:
“I was looking for a unique,
high-quality vehicle from
partners who could provide
me with custom proposals. The
Scania chassis is adaptable, the
Beulas camber is semi-artisanal
and it has a Spanish design that I
particularly like. “
The new customised Scania
Glory VIP coach is: a Grand
Tourer; is 14.60 metres long;
3.90 metres tall; has a 13 litre
engine producing at 490hp; and
had luxury amenities such as
coffee machine, WiFi, TVs, USB
ports, square table with eight
seats, fridges, private lounge, ice
machines, and bolstered seating.
Transports Faur as a company
has a EUR 6.1 million turnover,
including EUR 200,000 from
