Thentightenthemountingboltinthemid
pipebeforetighteningthethreemounting
nutsontheheaderpipe.
8 REFITMOUNTS
Onceyouhavetheheaderpipeandmid
pipefittingcorrectlyandtightenedyou
canfitthealloyenginemountsbackin
placeandthenfittheheatshieldontothe
GYTRheaderpipeandfitthemounting
springstotheslipjoints.
9 GROMMET
Removetherubbergrommetanditssteel
collarfromtheoldmufflermounting
bracket,fitthemintothenewsilencerand
thenfitthemufflertothebike.Then
tightenthetwomountingbolts.

Refitthesideplateandthenstartthebike
upandlistentoitsnewsound.Youwill
getsteamandastrongsmellcomingoff
thepipetobeginwithbut,oncethisburns
off,thepipewillchangecolourandno
longersmellfunny.

BEWARE
When the GYTR exhaust
heats up it will burn off a
protective coating. This will
initially produce a strong
smell so it is advised that
you start your bike outside
after fi tting the pipe.
