7 STAYLOOSE
Fitthenewheaderpipeandmidpipeinto
placebutleavetheboltsfingertightuntil
youhaveeverythinglinedupcorrectly.
Thentightenthemountingboltinthemid
pipebeforetighteningthethreemounting
nutsontheheaderpipe.


8 REFITMOUNTS
Onceyouhavetheheaderpipeandmid
pipefittingcorrectlyandtightenedyou
canfitthealloyenginemountsbackin
placeandthenfittheheatshieldontothe
GYTRheaderpipeandfitthemounting
springstotheslipjoints.


9 GROMMET
Removetherubbergrommetanditssteel
collarfromtheoldmufflermounting
bracket,fitthemintothenewsilencerand
thenfitthemufflertothebike.Then
tightenthetwomountingbolts.

Refitthesideplateandthenstartthebike
upandlistentoitsnewsound.Youwill
getsteamandastrongsmellcomingoff
thepipetobeginwithbut,oncethisburns
off,thepipewillchangecolourandno
longersmellfunny.

DO’S
1 UseWD40ontheslipjointstomake
themslidetogethereasier.
2 PutNever-Seezontheexhaustboltsto
preventthemfromlockingupovertime.
3 Makesuretheexhaustissittingaway
fromanywiringorcoolanthoses.

DON’TS
1 Don’tforcetheexhaustintopositionor
trytobendormanipulateitinanyway.
2 Overtightenanyoftheexhaust
mountingboltsornuts.
3 Touchtheexhaustsystemonceitishot.

BEWARE
When the GYTR exhaust
heats up it will burn off a
protective coating. This will
initially produce a strong
smell so it is advised that
you start your bike outside
after fi tting the pipe.
